Precipitated Calcium Carbonate

Precipitated Calcium Carbonate

A synthetic form of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃) produced by chemical precipitation. More specifically, it is produced by reacting calcium salts (like calcium chloride) with a source of carbonate ions (like sodium carbonate) in a controlled chemical reaction. Different grades of PCC exist, depending on particle size and crystallinity.
